18th Street Design Collective

About Us

Niki Cheng and Shaokao Cheng’s influence on New York City’s design scene is unmistakable, spanning their Calligaris, Camerich, Ditre Italia, and now Eichholtz stores. Through their company, the “18th Street Design Collective,” they unite their ventures under one brand, shaping the interiors of countless homes.

Since opening the first BoConcept store in NYC in 2003, the partners have become key figures in the design world, owning and operating over 15 stores across the Tristate area. Their spaces are cultural hubs, hosting charity events, fashion shows, and exclusive launch parties. Their elite clientele includes Patti Labelle, Lucy Liu, Susan Sarandon, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, and Faye Dunaway. Featured in publications like *The New York Times* and *Wall Street Journal* and on shows like *The Real Housewives of NYC*, they continue to set trends in interior design.

In 2017, they launched NYC’s first Calligaris store, later transitioning their BoConcept stores to Calligaris, Camerich, Ditre Italia, and Eichholtz, known for its luxurious yet livable furniture. “Eichholtz blends elegance with comfort,” says Niki, “offering pieces that tell a story.”
